JIM BERRY

      Hey there! I’m Jim Berry, and I get to hang out with you every afternoon on KOOL 105 — Denver’s Greatest Hits! I’ve been lucky enough to turn my love of radio and great music into a career that’s as fun today as the first time I cracked a mic.

     As Program Director here at KOOL, I get to help shape the sound of the station — picking the songs, creating the fun, and making sure every day feels just a little more KOOL. When I’m on the air, it’s all about good vibes, sing-along favorites, and connecting with our amazing Denver listeners.

     I am a Colorado native and love the state I get to call home. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll probably find me at a concert, exploring Colorado Golf Courses, enjoying some great wine and food, or just cranking up some tunes in the car like everyone else. Thanks for letting me be part of your day — afternoons just wouldn’t be the same without you!

LALAINE

     One of the craziest things LaLaine has ever done was bungee jumping from a crane with a microphone taped to her hand while broadcasting live on the radio in the 1990s. Her high school nickname was Lois Lane. Some of her favorite TV shows include Yellowstone, The Goldbergs, and anything on HGTV or Bravo.

     LaLaine’s background is as unique as her personality—she’s a Swedeapino Americanized Southerner, half Swedish and half Filipino. Born and partially raised in Sweden, she also lived in Luxembourg and Tokyo before her family eventually settled in the Florida Panhandle. She moved to Denver in 1996 for her love of the Rocky Mountains and the outdoor lifestyle.

     Today, LaLaine hosts the midday show on KOOL 105, where listeners can tune in to hear her weekdays. She has a deep love for the radio station and the business and is truly grateful for the incredible support she receives from listeners. She’s also a proud mom who loves cheering on her son and spoiling her Norwegian Elkhound.

DIRK STEELE

“Part Timer” Dirk is really an “Olde Timer” in radio.

     Dirk started in radio in New Orleans in 1984. He eventually found his way here to the Mile High city 10 years later, where he worked for Jefferson Pilot Communications. There he was on-air middays, as well as commercial production.  Some years later, Dirk left radio to build a Production Company called SteeleBoy Productions. To this day he is still running his company from his studio in South Denver. Dirk joined the staff of KOOL 105 to help out wherever his skills can be best utilized.

     Dirk enjoys long walk on the beach, alligator wrestling, riding his motorcycle, flossing after each meal and watching Maury Povich.

MELISSA MOORE

     Melissa has won several awards including numerous Colorado Broadcaster Awards (CBA) and most recently a national Gracie from the Alliance for Women in Media. Melissa is thrilled to reunite with her friend Dom Testa and bring a fun and fresh perspective to KOOL 105 mornings.

     When she’s not on the radio, Melissa, her husband and daughter live in Littleton where they always seem to be working on a house project.  Melissa is an avid baker, specializing in gluten – dairy free baking, which she took up after she and her daughter were diagnosed with Celiac disease.

     Melissa is also a strong advocate for the neurodiverse community, her daughter was diagnosed on the autism spectrum back in 2008. She is the proud pet mom of two dogs and a cat and is involved with local charities to help rescue animals find homes.  Melissa is an avid writer and has been published in several magazines over the years.

DIXON

    Dixon is the Producer for Dom & Melissa in the mornings helping to bring you all of the best music each and every day! You will probably get the chance to chat with him when you call during the morning show!

     A Colorado native, he grew up on a ranch in southern Colorado before moving to Fort Collins to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism. A love for sports and radio drew him to work as part of the KCSU Radio Sports Broadcast Team, where he had the chance to call volleyball, softball, and hockey finding his lane in live broadcasts and radio. Dixon wears many hats in at KSE radio from engineering to producing with some extra work in promotions. He started at KSE radio as an intern and with his dedication and hard work is now the proud producer for Dom and Melissa in the mornings!

    “Getting to step into such a welcoming community like KOOL 105 has been an amazing experience and I couldn’t be more excited for the future!” – Dixon

    Life goals: Take a Scandinavian cruise, tour around Europe, adopt/get a Corgi pup.
