KOOL 105 is a Proud Media Sponsor of the Run Denver Series
Cookouts, apple pie, ice cream, your great aunt wearing that ever so festive American flag dress (screech) …. WAIT. Remember last year when it was hot and crowded waiting for the start, the music was too loud, the lines at the portos were a mile long, as were the lines at bib pickup? Or when they couldn’t find your bib (only to find out you signed up for the event across town)? We have solved ALL of these issues! Join us for the Liberty Run 4 Mile from your backyard, from isolation, from the trails behind your neighborhood, anywhere, it’s your choice….you won’t even have to use a porto-potty this year! This year’s Liberty Run 4 Mile has gone virtual, or what we like to call, a new twist on DISTANCE Running & Walking.
We will first be honoring our healthcare professionals while also supporting local businesses. We will be providing food via food trucks as a thank you to our healthcare workers. You can also have a message printed on our thank you banner that will be displayed alongside the food truck (you can enter your message during registration).
We also will be making a donation to Feeding America to support our neighbors in need.
What if you could use your exercise goals to help out small businesses AND our food banks?
We all love races and these are trying times for our race directors who rely on events as their sole source of income. They were the first businesses to shut down and will be the last to open. This event unites race directors across the state of Colorado, highlights small businesses every day, AND gives back to our local food banks. Let’s lace up again with purpose in support of our communities and let’s continue Changing Lives Together.
While we are not able to gather in person on June 13th in City Park, there are lots of ways you can still be part of this important community tradition to support women with ovarian cancer and raise awareness! Our Virtual Dash option lets you sign up for the race and receive a package filled with goodies to hold your OWN race at home, in your neighborhood, or with family and friends (when that is allowed).
Here’s how it works:
- Register for Jodi’s Race
- Choose one of these registration categories: Survivor, Participant, or Remembrance Participant
- Then watch your mail for your very own Virtual Dash package!
Annually, on the first Sunday in June, the Parkinson Association hosts its Vitality Walk. Since 2002, this pledge walk has raised significant funds for the Parkinson Association of the Rockies’ programs and services and awareness for Parkinson’s disease. In addition, the Vitality Walk serves as a community building event for individuals living with Parkinson’s, as well as their families and friends who wish to learn more about the disease and available resources.
It’s not too late to help homeless pets at the Dumb Friends League Furry Scurry! This year, Colorado’s favorite dog walk is virtual, which means you walk, run or hike where you want when you want. No matter how you choose to participate, help animals in need by registering before May 31!.
