The Who’s Roger Daltrey Announces U.K. Solo Tour

The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has announced a 12-city solo U.K. tour beginning in November.

The run of shows will comprise “a unique mix of music and conversation, built around Roger’s musical journey and encompasses nearly every style imaginable – including blues, rock, country, soul and metal,” said a post on the band’s website.

During the evening, Daltrey will dig into his incredible back catalog pulling from his nine solo albums, his album with former Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson, and reinterpreting a few Who classics and rarities.

Daltrey said in a statement that on this tour, he wants to take the audience on a musical journey through his career as a singer, with a show of songs and sounds that explores and surprises.

He said he looks forward to having closer contact with his audience than festivals and arenas allow.

“It’s also clear that live music is an important part of all our lives, something to free us from the groundhog days that life has become. This pandemic has brought home to me what an important part of me singing is and it’s made me determined to get back onstage asap,” Daltrey added.
