The Beach Boys Announce ‘Feel Flows’ Box Set Celebrating 1969-1971 Sessions

Legendary rock band The Beach Boys have announced plans to release a massive box set celebrating the recording sessions for their 16th and 17th studio albums, Sunflower and Surf’s Up.

The five-CD box set, Feel Flows – The Sunflower & Surf’s Up Sessions 1969-1971, is set to be released on July 30 via Capitol/UMe.

A tweet from the Beach Boys said the box set features 135 songs, including 108 never-before-heard tracks and versions.

The band previewed the box set by sharing the previously unreleased track “Big Sur,” which was originally recorded for 1971’s Surf’s Up.

The box set also includes a 48-page book featuring rare and unreleased photos, lyric sheets, new liner notes and new and archival interviews with members of the band.

In addition to the five-CD box version, Feel Flows will also be available in abbreviated four-LP black vinyl, four-LP limited translucent blue and translucent gold color vinyl, two-LP black vinyl and two-CD editions.
