Ted Nugent recently released a new song, “Come And Take It,” a pro-gun anthem from his upcoming 16th studio album, Detroit Muscle. The album is due out on April 29, 2022 via Pavement Music.
“Being the all-time gonzo progenitor of love songs that I am, it is only fitting that I unleash the All-American defiant battle hymn from we the people to punks who dare tread on us,” Nugent said when asked about the inspiration for the track. “Do you feel the love! Come and take it at your own risk.”
A note on Nugent’s website reads, “In these bizarro, desperate, treacherous times, it is now more important than ever for we the people to make our stand against tyranny and fascism. And nothing says it better than the historical colloquialism ‘come and take it!'”
