Rolling Stones’ 2021 U.S. Tour To Continue As Planned

The Rolling Stones have announced that the band’s 2021 U.S. tour will proceed as planned this fall, as the world mourns the passing away of drummer Charlie Watts.

“The Rolling Stones’ tour dates are moving ahead as planned,” promoter Concerts West said in a statement.

The 12-date “No Filter Tour,” which was originally planned for 2020 before the pandemic forced its postponement, kicks off on September 26 in St. Louis, Missouri, and runs through November 20 in Austin, Texas.

Watts passed away on Tuesday, August 24, at the age of 80. Watts had pulled out of the band’s “No Filter” tour after undergoing a successful medical procedure.

Meanwhile, longtime Stones associate Steve Jordan is taking his place behind the drum kit.

“It is an absolute honor and a privilege to be Charlie’s understudy,” Jordan said at the time.
