Ozzy Osbourne has finally earned his first No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Album Sales chart with his 13th solo studio album, Patient Number 9.
The album, released on September 9, sold 52,500 copies in the U.S. in the week ending September 15, according to Luminate.
Patient Number 9 also opens at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Current Album Sales, Tastemaker Albums and Vinyl Albums charts.
Out of the 52,500 Patient Number 9 copies sold in its debut week, physical sales comprise 44,500 and digital downloads comprise 8,000.
Seven of Osbourne’s albums have appeared in the Top Album Sales chart’s top 10, but this is the first time that one has climbed on top.
Ordinary Man (No. 2 in 2020), Scream (No. 4, 2010), Black Rain (No. 3, 2007), Down to Earth (No. 4, 2001), Ozzmosis (No. 4, 1995) and No More Tears (No. 7, 1991) are the other Top 10 albums.
NAV‘s Demons Protected by Angels, Jackson Wang‘s Magic Man, Kane Brown‘s Different Man, and TWICE‘s Between 1&2: 11th Mini Album follow Patient Number 9 on the Top Album Sales chart.
Billboard‘s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales.
