Nancy Wilson Pays Tribute To Eddie Van Halen With ‘4 Edward’

Nancy Wilson paid tribute to legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen by streaming “4 Edward,” a song from her upcoming debut solo album, You and Me.

You and Me is scheduled for release on May 7 via the Heart guitarist’s new label, Carry On Music. Wilson recently shared the album’s title track.

The track list includes versions of Pearl Jam‘s “Daughter,” the Cranberries‘ “Dreams” and Simon & Garfunkel‘s “The Boxer.”

“When Heart toured with Van Halen, I asked Eddie why he never played acoustic guitar. His response [was], ‘I don’t have one.’ I gave Eddie one of mine, and he immediately wrote a song on it that stole my heart. After he passed, it hit me so hard [that] I felt it was time to pay tribute to him,” Wilson said in a statement.
