KISS Biopic To Focus On Early Years, Longtime Manager Says

The upcoming KISS biopic Shout It Out Loud will focus on the rock band’s first four years, according to longtime manager Doc McGhee.

“The script is about the first four years of KISS. Basically, it’s before they were famous – it was up to Cadillac High, that kind of thing,” McGhee said in an interview with Talking Metal. ” And I think it’s a very interesting look at the formation of KISS, the mindset of how that came about, the social pressure that everybody was in in the ’60s and ’70s that brought something like KISS to the forefront, that it could actually happen. So it’s a very interesting, and I think it’s a well-written movie.”

McGhee said that Ole Sanders has completed the biopic’s script writing. Casting for the movie is expected to begin in the coming weeks.

The movie focuses on the original and best-known KISS lineup that consists of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss in their 20s.

Norwegian filmmaker Joachim Ronning will be Shout It Out Loud‘s director. The movie will have a theatrical release, followed by Netflix streaming.
