Fleetwood Mac have surged into the Top 10 on the Billboard Artist 100 following the death of band member Christine McVie last week.
Fleetwood Mac made a big leap from No. 41 to No. 8 on the Artist 100 chart dated December 10.
Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac’s classic 1977 album Rumours surged to the U.K. Official Albums Chart Top 10 and to No. 20 on the Billboard 200 this week.
McVie, who was behind many of the group’s biggest hits including “Little Lies,” “Don’t Stop,” “Everywhere” and “Songbird,” passed away on November 30, aged 79.
The classics “Everywhere” and “Songbird” rose many steps on the Digital Song Sales chart.
Half of Fleetwood Mac’s Greatest Hits songs were written by McVie, and the album improved its position on Billboard 200.
The latest Billboard Artist 100 chart is led by Taylor Swift.
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay and streaming to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
