Eric Clapton Shares Performance Of ‘Black Magic Woman’ From ‘Lockdown Sessions’

Eric Clapton has shared a clip that shows him performing Fleetwood Mac‘s “Black Magic Woman” at Cowdray House in West Sussex, England.

“Black Magic Woman” is part of Clapton’s upcoming album The Lady In The Balcony: Lockdown Sessions, due out on November 12 via Mercury Studios on CD, DVD, Blu-ray, digital video and audio.

The song features Clapton collaborating with Nathan East (bass and vocals), Steve Gadd (drums) and Chris Stainton (keyboards).

Clapton recorded the 17-track album during lockdown. The record contains mostly acoustic renditions of classics like “Layla” and “Bell Bottom Blues,” performed with East, Steve Gadd and Stainton.

Clapton initiated the Lockdown Sessions following the postponement of his concerts scheduled for May 2021 at London’s Royal Albert Hall due to the pandemic.
