Eric Clapton Seems To Take Aim At Covid Vaccines In ‘This Has Gotta Stop’

Eric Clapton, who has previously disclosed his anti-Covid vaccine stance, has released a new song, titled “This Has Gotta Stop,” that takes aim at COVID-19 policies.

“This has gotta stop, enough is enough/ I can’t take this BS any longer/ It’s gone far enough, you wanna claim my soul/ You’ll have to come and break down this door,” he sings in the opening lines of the track.

Last month, Clapton announced that he will not perform at venues that require audiences to be vaccinated for Covid-19.

“Following the PM’s announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021 I feel honor bound to make an announcement of my own: I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present,” the iconic guitarist said.

He added, “Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show.”

In the song, he also refers to the bad experience he had to suffer after receiving an AstraZeneca vaccine. “My hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning,” he had claimed at the time after receiving the shot.

He sings in “This Has Gotta Stop,” “I knew that something was going on wrong/When you started laying down the law/I can’t move my hands, I break out in sweat/I wanna cry, I can’t take it anymore.”
