David Lee Roth Shares New Version Of Van Halen’s ‘Atomic Punk’

Former Van Halen lead vocalist David Lee Roth recently shared a newly recorded version of the legendary rock band’s “Atomic Punk.”

The new version of “Atomic Punk,” like the previously released “Unchained,” “Everybody Wants Some!!” “You Really Got Me,” “Dance The Night Away,” “Panama” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love,” was recorded on May 3, 2022 as part of an extremely fast-paced session at Henson Studios in Los Angeles, California.

The singer was joined for the session by guitarist Al Estrada, bassist Ryan Wheeler and drummer Francis Valentino. The Roth band went into Henson Recording Studio and recorded 14 songs in two hours.

“Atomic Punk” featured on Van Halen’s eponymous debut studio album, released on February 10, 1978, by Warner Bros.
