Dave Grohl, Greg Kurstin Don KISS Makeup For ‘Rock And Roll All Nite’ Cover

Dave Grohl and producer/multi-instrumentalist Greg Kurstin put on KISS makeup for the cover of the iconic band’s “Rock and Roll All Nite” for their final song of the 2021 “Hanukkah Sessions.”

“Ladies and gentlemen..we made it. Night 8!” declares a message accompanying the YouTube video. “And what better way to celebrate another year of Hanukkah Sessions than Chaim Witz and Stanley Eisen..two young lads from Queens that set the world (and thousands of stages) on fire as Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of Kiss!”

Kurstin put on Paul Stanley‘s “Starchild” makeup, while Grohl dons Gene Simmons‘ “Demon” style.

In his message to fans, Grohl thanked “all of the people that helped ramp up the Hanukkah Sessions this year,” before adding, “Now let’s rock and roll all nite and party everyday until next Hanukkah!”

Grohl and Kurstin’s “Hanukkah Sessions” was launched last year and lasts for eight consecutive days, with a different cover being performed each day.

In the series, the Foo Fighters frontman and producer Kurstin cover Jewish musicians’ songs every day of the Festival Of The Lights.

In the first seven days of this Hanukkah season, they covered Lisa Loeb‘s classic ’90s-era anthem “Stay (I Missed You),” “Blitzkrieg Bop” by The Ramones, Barry Manilow‘s “Copacabana,” Van Halen‘s “Jump,” Amy Winehouse‘s “Take the Box”, supported by Grohl’s teenage daughter Violet, Billy Joel‘s “Big Shot,” and The Clash‘s “Train in Vain.”
