Cher is set to perform at the upcoming WisdomSound livestream concert scheduled to take place on November 8 to benefit the Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and Nagi Nunnery in Nepal.
The concert will premiere via Mandolin.com at 8 PM EST on Monday and will be available for on-demand viewing through November 22.
The concert, which will feature Richard Gere as a special guest, will also feature performances by Laurie Anderson, Jon Batiste, Norah Jones, Angelique Kidjo, Steve Miller Band, Gregory Porter, and Maggie Rogers.
The event will also feature a brief teaching and an introduction to Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling by Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche.
“The organizers of WisdomSound believe that the teachings of the Buddha offer powerful methods to deal with suffering, and guide people toward compassionate action,” said a statement about the event.
