Carl Palmer has announced that an official book about the progressive rock supergroup Emerson, Lake & Palmer will be released later this year.

“This is the definitive Emerson, Lake & Palmer book,” the English drummer said in a promotional video. “There are photographs which I’ve never, ever seen before – can you imagine, after all this time? This is the story as it happened, as the group told it, because it’s in our own words. What a fantastic book.”

“I was involved with it from the beginning to the end with the Emerson family and with the Lake family,” Palmer added, referring to the families of late keyboardist Keith Emerson and late singer and bassist Greg Lake, who helped him create the book.

The book is being published by Rocket 88. Classic, Signature, and Ultimate editions of the book will be available for preorder in May.

The book, titled “Emerson, Lake & Palmer,” contains unpublished interviews, rare photos and recordings.
