Billie Eilish, Bee Gees & Britney Spears Docs Among Emmy Nominees

Documentaries about Billie Eilish, Britney Spears and The Bee Gees have received multiple nominations for Emmy Awards.

The 2020 Frank Marshall documentary titled The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart was nominated in six categories – Outstanding Directing For A Documentary/Nonfiction Program; Outstanding Picture Editing For A Nonfiction Program; Outstanding Documentary Or Nonfiction Special; Outstanding Sound Editing For A Nonfiction Or Reality Program (Single Or Multi-Camera); Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Nonfiction Or Reality Program (Single Or Multi-Camera); and Outstanding Writing For A Nonfiction Program.

The World’s A Little Blurry, a documentary chronicling the rise of Eilish, received four nominations: Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Nonfiction Or Reality Program, Outstanding Sound Editing, Outstanding Picture Editing, and Outstanding Music Direction.

Framing Britney Spears was nominated for Outstanding Picture Editing For A Nonfiction Program and Outstanding Documentary/Nonfiction Special.

Tina, a documentary about the legendary Tina Turner, also received three Emmy nominations.

The nominees for the TV-focused 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Tuesday.
