The Austin City Limits Music Festival has revealed a star-studded lineup for this year, with country legend George Strait among the headliners.

To be held at Zilker Park on the weekends of Oct 1-3 and Oct 8-10, the iconic festival is slated to make a grand return this year with a lineup featuring other stars such as Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, DaBaby, Erykah Badu, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Black Pumas and many more.

“I told George I thought playing the festival would be ‘a very cool look for you’ and he responded ‘You don’t think I’m cool enough now?’” shared Strait’s exclusive promoter Louis Messina. “I thought that was so funny.”

Festival promoters have partnered with the City of Austin and Austin Public Health to encourage Covid vaccination prior to the festival dates.

“Austin City Limits 2021 is a result of successful vaccine efforts and more than a year’s worth of protection measures,” said Austin-Travis County Interim Health Authority, Dr. Mark Escott.

He added, “Taking the shot is our shot at getting things back to normal and we envision this happening before October if we stay the course as a community.”
