About the KOOL Cause of the Month For 20 years, KOOL 105 has been your home for Mile High hits. You've let us in to your home and your hearts. You've also supported KOOL and many charitable causes, helping people all over Denver, and for that we thank you! But our work isn't done yet. This web page is a chance for us to increase public awareness of some of our favorite causes and charities around the metro area. So if you have a few extra hours or a few extra dollars and are looking to donate to a reputable charity, you can count on KOOL's Cause of the Month to keep you up to date. Thanks for caring, Denver!
About Liberty Day:
Founded in 1996 by its current President, Andrew McKean, Liberty Day is a nonprofit, nonpartisan volunteer effort dedicated to educating Americans, particularly young people, about the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence. Our goal is to provide all citizens with ways to reach, educate, and empower our youth with the facts of our founding documents.
For 12 years, Liberty Day has reached well over a million young Americans by distributing the Liberty Day Constitution booklets containing the unedited version of the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. It is accompanied by the set of 24 flashcards which refer directly to the contents of the Constitution. This also includes a comprehensive teacher’s guide and evaluation report. The investment of these items is $1/student.
Since its founding, Liberty Day has recognized that the Constitution is not a partisan document; rather, it is the interpretations of the Constitution that are partisan. With their 5th grade, high school, and college student programs, their sole mission is to ensure that all young people across the country study, understand, and know the contents of our founding documents. No opinions. No interpretations. Just the facts.
Liberty Day’s focus is on the study of the U.S. Constitution; their method: to bring together all Americans—parents, teachers, kids, and young adults—to ensure that every American knows the basics of our country.
The national organization, based in Denver, has been endorsed by Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, U.S. Senators Wayne Allard and Ken Salazar, Colorado Secretary of State Mike Coffman, and many more from both sides of the aisle, as well as community organizations like the Boy Scouts, Colorado Education Association, Lions, and Optimists.

KOOL 105 partners with the Daniel's Fund
KOOL 105 is proud to partner with the Daniels Fund for Cause of the Month. Philanthropist Bill Daniels loved America and believed each of us has a duty to offer help and hope to others. He established the Daniels Fund in 1997 to support programs that encourage personal responsibility and achievement. When Bill died in the year 2000, the bulk of his estate transferred to Daniels Fund, making it the largest foundation in the Rocky Mountain Region.
In the Fund's articles of incorporation, Bill directed the foundation to concentrate its efforts in two primary areas: College Scholarships and Community Support, including programs designed to help the homeless, physically handicapped and elderly individuals, as well as those suffering from substance abuse and mental handicaps.
