Meet Hollywood Henderson!

 Hello! It’s me, Hollywood Henderson, the NEWEST member of the KOOL 105 team! You can hear me from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays!
I’ve been in radio for a LONG time, mostly as a Top 40 deejay. I’ve also done a few years of country music, current and “classic” country, and a year of Christian music radio.

I came here from Dallas, where I spent many years working on the radio. I’ve also worked at radio stations in Washington D.C., Minneapolis, New York City, and Houston. Now I’m here in Denver, the greatest city of them all! My sister Lorrie has lived here since the 1980s, she’s a sign-language interpreter for the City of Denver.
I’ve been married since ’88 to my wife Cara, who I met as a high school “guest DJ” on my show! (And they said it wouldn’t last!) We live in Highlands Ranch, and have three kids, Sam (’95) and twin daughters Margaret and Jane (’97).
I’m a HUGE sports fan. I love football best, and will back the Broncos—although I have always been first and forever a fan of the New Orleans Saints, ever since I was ten years old! I also follow baseball, basketball, hockey. My newest sports interest is lacrosse—that’s another reason why it’s so great to be in Denver, TWO pro lacrosse teams, games year-round! WOO-HOO!
Other things I love are road trips, board games, old cars, books, antiques, anything with a “nostalgia factor.” I’m a fan of just about any and every kind of music, from hard rock to classical. My mom and Dad were both musicians, they met while performing with the Hartford(CT) Symphony, so I guess that’s where I get my interest in music. That’s what drew me to radio, the music. I probably love it as much as you do, maybe even more!
